Waves of ChangeI draw on my own personal experiences to help the patient as well as thier families  handle situations that arise with a long term or termenal illness, a death and then the grieving process that follows.

This can make a significant difference not only in the life of the critically ill patient, but for all the family members. A process that starts before a loved one crosses over and continues even after they have returned to thier spiritual home.

Our services include:

  • Family Caregiver Support

When a loved one has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, family members may suffer from shock, a shock so sever that at times it turns to anger. This can be directed at the one who is sick and those that are not. Many emotions come forth at this time. Apart from dealing with the crisis, every day life must continue. Jobs and school, bills being paid, all of this still has to be dealt with. Serenity of Hope offers the opportunity for the family to talk out these issues and the impact it has on each member. Talking honestly and openly about these concerns helps families come to an understanding of the crisis. This in turn leads to letting go and acceptance, and then enjoying the time that is left in a possitive way.

  •  Hospice Support - Patient Advocate

When those you love have been diagnosed with an advanced or terminal illness, an emotional whirlwind arises around the patient and their family. As you can't be with them all the time, I can work within the home, a hospital or hospice to insure that the patients emotional needs are at the forefront of the people who are caring for them. From the staff at the hospital or hospice to the care givers in the home. The patient should be enveloped in a loving and spiritual support system at all times.

  • Bereavement Counseling - Grief Counseling

As a minister with intuitive insights I have seen and experienced how the loss of a loved one can challenge our core beliefs, religious and personal. I not only lived and dealt with my own grief, I came to recognize and accept that a loved one goes "home" when they pass through the veil. They are never far from us. This is a journey we are all on, those that have crossed over as well as the living, and we do meet again.

  • Toronto Funeral Prayer Services

Being a non-denominational minister I can do ceremonies at the funeral home, a graveside, or even in your home, all in and around the greater Toronto area. I will personalise a service to your special wishes or preform a more traditional ceremony, whatever you may need.

  • Financial Services

Estate issues can be one of the biggest causes of added stress at a very difficult time. Many questions  arise at this time. Funeral expenses, life insurance, home mortgages, government benefits and the like, can cause extra stress at a time when we need less, not more! My worries about these matters were handled by a family friend who is a financial advisor. Kim helped me in my hour of need. She made sure all my financial dealings were dealt with promptly and correctly. We are now working together to help those that are in need.
